Rob at Businesspundit just got done rereading Drucker's The Effective Executive. How many of you out there still haven't read it? No need to raise your hands.
His post is about applying the lessons from EE to entrepreneurship.
His main points are:
- Know Thy Time
- Focus on Contribution
- Make Strength Productive
- First Things First
- Make Good Decisions
- Effectiveness Can Be Learned

I remember Drucker's comments on time especially, that in essence the CEO didn't own it. To understand that was the first step in being successful in managing it.
It was what was done with the true, real time the executive had that made the difference between being effective or not.

It's interesting. I guess Drucker applies equally well to startups as he did to larger businesses. It's not often you hear his name in this context. :)
